Charter Boat Information
Lead Dog Charters is a full-time Chesapeake Bay, Maryland fishing and cruising charter boat operation available for bookings seven days a week from April through December. Terms for the charters are as follows:
- A full day charter leaves the dock at 6 AM and generally returns around 1 PM or 1:30 PM to dusk. (Custom times can be arranged based on availability and when scheduled in advance.)
- Half-day charter times are generally 2:30 PM - 7:30 PM. (Custom times can be arranged based on availability and when scheduled in advance.)
- Food and beverages can be supplied upon request. (Additional costs)
- A deposit of $200 is required within five working days of the verbal confirmation.
- We require two weeks (14 days) notice for cancellations.
- All weather decisions will be made the morning of your scheduled charter. If the captain feels the weather conditions are unsafe, then a full refund will be given.

Deposits are non-refundable for "no shows." If bad weather is forecast the Captain will notify you so that the trip may be rescheduled for another date.

Tipping the Mate is customary - 25% of the trip. The mate works very hard before, during, and after your trip. A tip up to 25% of the charter is a customary way of saying thanks for a marvelous day on the Chesapeake Bay.
